Gateway best practices featured on Dept of Ed website

In November, the US Department of Education launched a new website: Doing What Works, which shares researched-based educational practices from across the country online. The website focuses on several key areas including literacy, math and science, and early childhood education and seeks to improve classroom instruction by presenting models of strong practice and innovation. Gateway is prominently featured in the literacy section, including videos and interviews of Humanities classrooms and teachers, Suzanne Herko and Becca Wieder. Also featured is Marlies McCallum, our reading specialist, and Gateway instructional materials.
